Musée Cognacq-Jay (Paris)

On the occasion of the 250th anniversary of the death of François Boucher (1703-1770), the Cognacq-Jay Museum explores the theme of Love in the Age of Enlightenment. Considered as the century of pleasure and libertinage, the 18th century evokes a celebration of the senses. The First Painter to King Louis XV’s work is highlighted by 60 masterpieces from prestigious international collections, both public and private, such as the Pushkin Museum in Moscow and the National Gallery of London, some of them presented for the very first time in France.
