Prieuré Sainte Victoire (Bouches du Rhône)

The construction of the priory started in 1654 and was completed thanks to a wealthy inhabitant from Aix-en-Provence. A popular pilgrimage site, the priory welcomes more than 60,000 visitors a year.  The montagne Sainte Victoire has inspired many artists, most notably Cézanne who made some 80 paintings of the site.

Cultural Project

As the buildings have been restored, the mountain top cliffs need to be stabilized to prevent stones from dislodging and rolling down the mountainside.
