Agnès Sorel’s Manor dates from 1325 and was an out-building of the abbey of Jumièges.  Agnès Sorel’s stay and her death here contribute to its notoriety. Her influence was immense in the political conduct of King Charles VII’s reign and she was present in Normandy by his side at the end of the battle to reconquer these lands from the English.
