Château de Carneville (Manche)

When the 18^th-century Château de Carneville was purchased by a young antique dealer when he was only 21, it was a dream come true. He soon faced the invasion of devastating fungus that requires urgent and massive treatment of the structure in order to save it. Carneville was  selected to represent Normandy and benefited from the first drawing of the new national lottery created in France for heritage in peril, the “Mission Bern”.

The entire structure must be treated and restored due to the spread of a devastating fungus (la mérule) that attacks the wood.
