The Paris Chapter invites you to a cultural cocktail in a private home accompanied by Laure de Margerie.
French sculpture is everywhere in the United States, in public spaces and museum collections. Since the country’s independence, it has echoed important moments in national history. It has played a key role in establishing the American identity and has accompanied the evolution of society.
Laure de Margerie, Director, Répertoire de sculpture française/French Sculpture Census, has surveyed over 7000 French sculptures between 1500 and 1960 as part of the Répertoire de sculpture française, the first digital encyclopedia of French sculpture in the United States. She will present her book La sculpture française, une passion américaine, to which the Paris Chapter has awarded a cultural grant in 2022.
This is a French language visit.
