The Dallas Chapter invites you to the inaugural edition of a dinner celebrating its new annual award, “The Homage to French Culture,” which will be given each year to an individual, organization, or place that advances the best of French culture in the Dallas community.
Ray W. Washburne is the first recipient. In addition to the entrepreneurial spirit with which he showcases the best of French couture in Dallas, he is the great-great-grandson of Elihu Benjamin Washburne, who served as American Minister to France during the Franco-Prussian War.
The celebration dinner will take place at the Rosewood Mansion under the patronage of French Consul General Valerie Barbaran. Michael Hill, author of the remarkable biography Elihu Washburne, will give remarks during the event. Proceeds will support restoration grants selected for funding by the Dallas Chapter.
