The Four Seasons George V Hotel in Paris opened a third restaurant space in October 2015 which it dubbed “Le George”. It is both elegant and casual at the same time. Overlooking the interior garden of the hotel, Le George has a pale interior décor with a beautiful vaulted ceiling, carved medallions, and friezes which evoke a modern sensibility of luxurious calm. However, this very raffiné design is but a backdrop for a very lively ambiance. Le George is neither a formal restaurant nor a café or a bar but a relaxed space where you can meet friends and enjoy a delicious Mediterranean and Northern Italian inspired menu. It’s also amusing in the best sense. The young gorgeous waitresses are dressed in individual cocktail dresses and seem to be more part of the crowd than the wait staff. They encourage you to either share half portions of several different starters for the whole table or choose a couple of these small plates for each person. With a youthful ambiance, and a light straight-forward cuisine, a warm breeze seems to have arrived at the George V. The food is delicious, the service is hotel luxury, and the vibe is fun. I loved it.
