Château d’Esquelbecq (Nord)
Considered a singularly representative monument of Flemish architecture in the north of France, the Château d’Esquelbecq is characterized by a 13th-century medieval plan, eight towers and striking crow stepped gable-end roofs. The octagonal dovecote built in 1606 faces the château and features a typical Flemish bulb-shaped slate roof with a flag-shaped weather vane.
