Weaving the past into the future: preservation, collaboration, celebration!

Through various activities and educational opportunities, we are dedicated to the preservation, restoration, and promotion of French heritage throughout the United States’ Midwest and France.

In addition to fostering Franco-American friendship (Amitié) and cross-cultural exchange through select tours throughout the Midwest, lectures, conferences, galas and other events, FHS Chicago Chapter also plays an active role in the Midwest through FHS’s Franco-American Student Exchange Internship Program. The Chicago Chapter recognizes the deep roots of French heritage throughout the Midwest and is proudly knitting together a network of stakeholders. French Heritage Corridor, an initiative conceived and led by the French Heritage Society Chicago Chapter, comprises seven states in the Midwest (IA; IL; IN; MI; MN; MO and WI). This network, joined by waterways connecting with the Mississippi River and the Great Lakes, transcends borders to recreate in the Midwest what was once la Nouvelle France. Chicago Chapter: Hidden in Plain Sight Conference

Sunday, October 2, 9:30 am - 1:00 pm

In the tradition of the French Salon, we look forward to spending an engaging morning learning about the French influence in the Illinois country through the lens of four French explorers deeply tied to Chicago’s identity.

The co-chairs of the Boston Chapter of French Heritage Society invite you for an evening at Gore Place with Dr. Rebecca Tilles on “Marjorie Merriweather Post’s Passion for France."

American philanthropy has a long and storied history in France, and French Heritage Society has played an important role in this special relationship since our founding in 1982. Join us as we honor forty years of evolution and achievement. We will celebrate together with an exquisitely curated series of visits, ceremonies, and glamorous receptions in Paris and its surroundings. It all culminates with an unforgettable gala at the Petit Palais, a Belle Epoque masterpiece, on Saturday, October 15th, 2022.
