Internship Description

The purpose of this internship is to give a good understanding of all gardening and landscaping techniques in a public botanical garden. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside the Garden’s staff to assist with maintaining our landmarked 250 acres of gardens and grounds. Volunteers weed, mulch, groom plants, and perform other maintenance tasks as directed by supervising horticulturists. The intern will work on weekdays only.

The Garden pursues its mission through its role as a museum of living plant collections arranged in gardens and landscapes across its National Historic Landmark site; through its comprehensive education programs in horticulture and plant science; and through the wide-ranging research programs of the International Plant Science Center.
