Adventures in the Louvre

March 20, 2025

The Atlanta Chapter invites you to a cocktail culturel to discuss Adventures at the Louvre: How to Fall in Love with the World’s Greatest Museum with its author, Elaine Sciolino.

Elaine is a former New York Times Paris bureau chief who will take us on a journey through the galleries, basements, rooftops and gardens of the Louvre.  She demystifies the museum, introducing us to her favorite artworks, both legendary and overlooked, and to the people who are the museum’s lifeblood: the curators, the artisans producing frames and engravings, the builders overseeing restorations and the firefighters protecting the aging structure.

Proceeds from this event will support restoration grants selected for funding by the Atlanta Chapter. To purchase tickets by phone or to make a tax-deductible donation, contact Ben Wells, FHS Programs and Membership Officer, at 212-759-6846, ext. 201 or benjamin@frenchheritagesociety.org.
