Château de Morlet (Burgundy)

2016 Grant of $20,000 – Dallas Chapter A fortified house was built on the site in the 13th century. The kitchen garden and the base of the walls remain from this period. In the 15th century the defensive monument is transformed into a residential château. The 16th-century gatehouse gives access to the estate from the street. It has been decorated with bossage in stone and marble medallions. The structure of the gatehouse was not built to support the weight of this décor. Stabilization of the foundation and drainage work will reinforce the structure. Restoration: The 16th-century gatehouse
