Château de Grisy (Normandy)

2016 Grant of $10,000 – Louisiana Chapter The oldest part of the house, from the 16th century is recognizable by its characteristic dormer windows and roof as well as the commons. In the 17th century, the main house was extended towards the west with the addition of stables. The restauration project  is for the 17th -century tower build with cob work. It is a remarkable architectural element of this estate in Normandy.The restoration work is for the upper part of the tower and the roof. The masonry of the top of the wall will be completed, the timber frame and cob work will be repaired, the tiles covered with moss will be replaced, the carpentry will be redone and two windows restored.
