Built in the 18th century for Louis-Henri de La Tour d’Auvergne, Comte d’Évreux, Lieutenant General of the army for King Louis XV, the Élysée Palace has always maintained its strong ties to French power. Holiday residence for the Marquise de Pompadour,” Garde-meubles de la Couronne”, estate of the Duchess de Bourbon, then to Murat and even the Emperor, the Élysée Palace was home to many famous French families and leaders before becoming the Residence of the President of the French Republic.
Astrid Malmezat, in charge of the conservation of works for the Presidency of the Republic, will allow us to discover the impact left by each of these famous occupants. The visit will mix art and history, tradition and modernity.
