Northern California Chapter – Artisanal Chocolate Tasting

Northern California Chapter

Sunday, November 8, 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Event Navigation

Please join us for a delicious presentation by author, actor, photographer and chocolate aficionado, Leonard Pitt. Yes, everything in the image is real chocolate!

In addition to his love of chocolate, Leonard has written three books on Paris: two walking guides; Walks Through Lost Paris (2002), Paris a Journey Through Time (2010), and Paris Postcards, the Golden Age (2009 with hundreds of vintage postcards from Leonard’s private collection. He is currently teaching Advanced Mask Performance at the American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco.

You can view Leonard’s seven minute film about Paris made exclusively with his photos taken over the course of 50 years here.

You can purchase the four artisanal chocolate bars that Leonard will be discussing ahead of the event and have them delivered right to your home.

People are more conscious today about the chocolate they eat and where it comes from. Manufacturers include a wealth of information about their product, including cacao content, country origin, and even the type of bean used and where it comes from. We hope that our tasting will illuminate many of these details in a delicious way.

This event is free of charge, but we encourage you to purchase the artisanal chocolate we will be discussing (and enjoying!) using the link below. In order to adhere as closely as possible to standard blind chocolate tastings, we encourage you to wait to unbox your chocolate until the event. Due to the freshness of the product, shipping of the chocolate is limited to the San Francisco Bay Area.  All friends of FHS are welcome to join us for the Zoom presentation which will be live from Berkeley, CA.

Register for the Zoom meeting

Purchase our Artisanal Chocolate Package for $40.00 – note that orders must be placed by October 19th.
